Conejo Players

The Conejo Players was born in 1958 with a “Let’s start a theatre” attitude, a meager treasury, and a handful of volunteers who built a stage in a barn to put on shows. They have now been in their present location for more than 50 years and continue to fulfill the mission of providing year-round affordable live theatre that serves the cultural, educational, and entertainment needs of the community.

Elite Theatre Company

The Elite Theatre Company has been entertaining, educating, and enriching audiences since 1994 at the Petit Playhouse, located in Oxnard’s Historic Heritage Square. ETC — a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization — brings together the local talents of amateurs and professionals who share a passion for theatre and who generously volunteer their time on the stage and behind the scenes. High Street Arts Center

The High Street Arts Center has enjoyed a long and rich history as a source of culture and entertainment for the residents of Moorpark. Built in the 1920s, the building held the distinction of being the first “talking movie” theatre in all of Ventura County — as well as several other businesses (including a junk shop) — before transforming into the famous Magnificent Moorpark Melodrama & Vaudeville Co. of the ’80s and ’90s. In 2005, the now-renovated theatre was bought by the City of Moorpark, which has turned it into a cultural arts center for the community.

Ojai Art Center Theater

The Ojai Art Center Theater — part of the longest continuously-operating multi-disciplinary center serving the arts in the State of California — presents a variety of dramatic productions, ranging from comedy to drama to musicals, every year. Dedicated local volunteers annually donate hundreds of hours of their time so that literally thousands of theater-lovers can enjoy the Ojai ACT’s productions annually.

Santa Paula Theater Center

The Santa Paula Theater Center has been providing a first-class local theater experience to Ventura County since 1985. Founded by actor Bill Lucking and actor/director Dana Eclar, the SPTC was born out of a series of acting workshops held in Santa Paula, after which the need for a year-round theatrical venue was more fully appreciated. Focusing almost exclusively on nonmusical productions, the SPTC is proud to offer the community both family-friendly and more adult/non-traditional works.
