What is a Junior Camp Counselor?

The Junior Camp Counselor Program at the High Street Arts Center provides training ground and mentorship program to those who are looking to learn more about leadership and teaching positions in theatre. Junior Counselors work directly with the Senior Camp Staff, and in the process develop skills and learn techniques for working with young children. Camp is offered to youths ages nine to seventeen. Typically the goal of the camp program is to a full production with the camp performers. After auditions, the camps are divided into two groups: an older camp and a younger camp.
